About this event
Raquel Martinez is a Reno, NV native and a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR). With a passion for wildlife, she has spent her time working as a Wildlife Research Technician, a Wildlife Ranger for the Bear Management Program in Yosemite National Park, and currently holds the position of Urban Wildlife Coordinator for the Nevada Department of Wildlife, where she is dedicated to mitigating human-wildlife conflicts and promoting proactive solutions for coexistence between humans and wildlife.
In this talk she will be going over mountain lion biology, their tumultuous history in Nevada and North America, recent research findings, and safety information for living in mountain country.
